Can AI run the instruments we already have?
Yes. Many scientific research labs rely on hardware that runs old Windows-based or proprietary software. To use an instrument, you either learn the hyper-specific way it has to be used or rely on someone who has. That person often does not know the instrument's full capacity, so its use stays limited, and so does the imagination of the scientist aiming to discover. Agentic AI integrated into the instruments you already have can communicate directly with the hardware or run its onboard software, with speed and capability exceeding a human's. Link instruments and pipelines together, and the only bottleneck left is your imagination and creativity in what you envision for your experiments.
Does our data leave our premises?
On your premises: inference runs locally on hardware you own at your site. Australian hosting: the material you submit is sent to hardware Solpera operates in Australia for processing. We agree the location, access and any external integrations before work begins. Neither option requires a third-party inference API, and client material is never used to train a model that leaves the company.
Can we collaborate?
Yes. Research collaborations, field trials, instrument and platform integration, compute infrastructure and longer-term programme development are all possible where the mission and capabilities align.
Why does a research lab do this?
The engineering pays for the research. Client work funds the instruments, the compute and the field time.
