A simulated world generated from the word “solpera”. The word dissolves into particles and seeds the cosmic web, and the view closes in on a galaxy, a G-type star and a world of ocean and cloud. Its light becomes a reflectance spectrum titled BIOSIGNATURE, marking UV-screening pigment, phycocyanin, chlorophyll a, the oxygen A and B bands and the red edge, and pigment building days after a flare. The view descends to a coloured pool on the surface and to red autofluorescent cells, one dividing, then watches the world transit its star and closes on the Solpera logo.

One fixed view of one hillside. An on-screen clock counts from more than 4 billion years ago to “in 7.5 billion years”, slowing to a few years per second near the present, then speeding up. Glowing cracked ground becomes shallow water with low mounds, bare ground, a green carpet, tall trees, fern forest, then grassland among trees. From 1833 the trees die, fences and a factory leave bare ground, then shrubs, grass and a long lit building appear. Forest returns, then sand, then glowing cracked ground under the red giant Sun. It ends: “Restore it to when?”
